SweetGirl rides her bike by herself. SuperHubby and I we are overjoyed, let me tell you why. Looking back, we had the wrong tools and approach. I picked up a cute tricycle for her 2nd b-day. It came with a handle, easy to push for the parents, and so did we: our Princess hardly operated the pedals and enjoyed long rides of window-shopping, effortless! For her fourth b-day, Princess received a bicycle with training wheels, and we were still pushing behind! So when the time of her first tentative pedal strokes came, we tackled the issue. And she mastered the ride in one afternoon. Kids learn from their mistakes and so do parents. Little boy will get a balance bike without training wheels.
